Pouring Forth Oil - II

Arthur finds an oil wagon and needs to get it to the drop off. Armed guards won't give them up easy.

Rewards:

Grand Theft Wagon

Following John's plan, there are two Cornwall Oil Wagons in the area. One is always at the Cornwall Kerosene and Tar refinery northeast of camp. The other is moving around Valentine. At night both are parked at the refinery. Choose one to steal.

Valentine

The roaming wagon is usually found parked behind the stables at the Valentine auction yard or circling to and from that point. There is a guard with a rifle in charge of it. Take him out how you wish and get the wagon to the drop off location. Valentine is busy with people so try to keep it quiet and get away before someone finds the body or the law is notified. The horses may get spooked but stop a short distance away. If the wagon gets shot or damaged too much it will leak and then explode.

Refinery

The refinery wagon is at the east corner of the back lot. At night the other wagon is in the west corner. There are guards all over and will be alerted as soon as you take any action. Easiest method is to hop the fence and run like hell. When you have the wagon get it to the drop off location. A few will chase on horseback. If the wagon gets shot or damaged too much it will leak and then explode.

Making the drop

When the wagon reaches the drop off location stop next to the destroyed house. Arthur sets the horses free and you are told to talk to John back at camp. Part II is complete. Talk to John for Part III.

If you get stuck without your horse there is a stable next door that will fetch it for you.

Gold Tips

  • The wagon parked at the refinery's east side is the closest to the drop off and easiest to get away from the guards. Replays will always start you there.
  • Easiest method is to simply hop the fence and take the wagon. Do not bother with the guards at all. Rarely they will destroy the wagon before you exit.
  • Do not waste any time getting to the drop off. You shouldn't need to deal with the guards chasing you. Follow the path in purple above. Dewberry Creek has some high banks along the edges so be careful and look for natural slopes leading down to the water.
