A Fine Night of Debauchery

Trelawny's river boat casino job is ready to go but Arthur is not. He needs to clean up more than his clothes to take on these players. The games should be in his favor at least.

Cleaning up

Trelawny tells Arthur he needs to clean up so he can blend in with the other wealthy people on the Lannahechee River Boat. Follow Trelawny into the tailor and buy a Fine Three-Piece Town Suit. Talk to the tailor and browse the catalogue. Try on the suit and then buy it - at no charge to Arthur. When you are done exit the catalogue.

Next stop: the barber. Walking with Trelawny, he tells Arthur the plan. Arthur is going to make large bets at the poker tables and win with the aid of Strauss giving him hand signals. When it comes time for the victim to pay, Javier will assist in getting the payment. Arthur will see when he gets there. They enter the barbers and you are told to cut your hair. You'll need to trim it at least one length. The cost is discounted.

Outside the shop Trelawny has arranged a coach to take you to the boat. Get on and it takes you to the docks. The driver is named George and a longtime friend of Trelawny. During the ride Trelawny tells Arthur to act like he has money to burn and isn't fresh off the dirt trail. The person they are stealing from is Desmond Blythe. He likes to play high stakes and keeps extra collateral in a safe upstairs in the boat. The dealer of their game is a new friend of Trelawny so he'll be assisting Arthur too. There will be chips waiting for him inside.

They arrive at the docks and give George their weapons since they will be searched at the door. Follow Trelawny to the boat. He finds Strauss and Javier waiting. They all walk aboard. Later in the night the boat is offshore. Javier goes to find a change of clothes. Arthur is nervous being trapped on a boat without a gun but Trelawny tells him not to worry and have fun.

High roller

Trelawny leaves Arthur on the game floor. Go to the poker table and sit at the remaining chair. Play poker with Desmond and the others. Strauss is ahead to the left of him if needed. He gives subtle gestures but the game will tell you what he is signaling. Play the first hand how you wish and Desmond will bust the others playing. They all leave. Just Arthur and Desmond are left.

Play another hand and Desmond goes all-in. Match his bet and Desmond busts. Arthur begins taking his chips but Desmond says he has an expensive watch in a safe upstairs. They'll play another hand. Arthur sits and another hand is dealt. Desmond goes all-in again with two aces but Arthur triumphs with a flush. An angry Desmond calms down and the pit boss takes Arthur upstairs to the safe.

Cleaning house

Needing a guard with them, the pit boss finds a new guard - Javier - and takes him along. On the way to the safe the pit boss makes comments about Javier and says he has his own gun which he shows off. Inside the office is another guard for the safe. The pit boss opens it and Javier knocks out the guard and sticks up the pit boss. Arthur tells him not to touch his gun.

Walk over to the pit boss and disarm him. Arthur throws him to the wall. Go over to the safe and loot it. As Arthur does the pit boss draws a backup pistol. Arthur enters Dead Eye so pick your target and shoot. Javier hopes no one heard the shot but tells Arthur to hurry with the safe anyway. Finish looting the safe and follow Javier across the top of the boat. On a lower deck two guards heard the shot and run by to investigate.

Arthur tells Javier he isn't sure how they are going to get away. There wasn't much of an escape plan. Typical Trelawny job. Javier says they just need to keep blending in as long as possible. He escorts Arthur across the game floor and points him to Trelawny at the bar. Desmond thinks something is up with Arthur and Trelawny. Suddenly a man in underwear points out Javier and tells the other guards to shoot him. Javier shoots first and tosses his rifle to Arthur who takes cover behind the bar.

Swimming with gators

Take out the guards. They are all over the floor using tables and chairs as cover. One comes from the door on the right. As you take them down more appear from the stairs at the far end. You are told to escape the riverboat. Move to the other end of the room as more guards appear upstairs to the left and behind you. Run out the right side with the others.

On the deck outside, their only option is to jump. Do so as the others follow suit. They all swim to shore. Back on dry land Arthur splits up the loot. A few thousand dollars among them. Strauss inspects the watch and confirms it is valuable so Arthur takes it back. They all take off into the city. The next day Arthur is on a street corner with a newsboy yelling about the riverboat robbery.

Gold Tips

• There is no overall time objective so take it easy before the final gunfight.
• You really do not need help from Strauss. As long as you play, Desmond will go all-in. The outcomes are always the same.
• If you want to save time with the poker table: Fold, all-in, all-in. Even if you go all-in during the first hand you will still have money to keep playing.
• The pit boss is an easy headshot.
• Once the gunfight starts, take out a few close guards from the bar and then start moving to the exit at the far right. Take out more as you move along.
• Use Dead Eye bursts to conserve it. Aim for headshots.
• There is no accuracy objective but you'll want to take out the guards quickly since there are many of them.
• Do not wait for the others. Get to the water as soon as possible.
