Just as things are looking good, the past can catch up yet again and drag the gang into a wild and deadly mess. This time it's on their home turf and the gang will give it everything they got.

Sadie Adler pokes fun at the progress Dutch and Arthur have made since she joined them now that they are friendly with the wealthy. Dutch needs to speak with Arthur and takes him inside the house. Sadie asks when she can come on jobs to which Dutch admires her attitude. On the balcony Dutch says he was scouting the trolley station and thinks they can do it. They'll need someone else. Arthur wants Lenny but Dutch wants Micah.

As the two discuss Arthur's issues with Micah they get interrupted by a horse slowly walking into the camp with someone riding. Mary-Beth screams as they notice the rider's head is held in his hands. It's Kieran. Dutch looks up and notices men hiding amongst the trees. They are being attacked by the O'Driscolls.

Red tide

Arthur takes cover behind a column. Dutch tells the non-fighting gang members to get inside but Jack ends up with John in the front yard. Take out the O'Driscolls. There are eight of them ahead with more coming through the woods. After taking down a few you are told to go to the front door downstairs. Go there as the Pearson and the others get in the back door. Arthur tells them to stay away from the windows. Karen is on the rear balcony fighting O'Driscolls back there.

Opening the front door, the other gang members including Jack run inside. Continue taking out O'Driscolls. A few arrive on horseback and then a wagon load comes down the driveway. There are too many so the order is given to fall back to the house. Run inside and move a cabinet to barricade the door. When that's done Dutch splits his men up to cover each side. Arthur is given the rear so he runs there.

Arthur will break the windows out as you try to shoot the O'Driscolls. You'll need to use the windows on both sides of you to see them. Kill the first three and two more run in to take their spots. Arthur hears Sadie screaming from outside. He'll get her with John covering. Jump through the window and run behind the shed. Arthur finds Sadie surrounded by three O'Driscolls as she stabs them all dead. She didn't want to miss this.

Arthur tells her to go to the house. Cover Sadie as she runs around. O'Driscolls appear at the shack on the water plus two are in a boat rowing along. Take them out and keep going. Three O'Driscolls are next to the house. Kill them and Sadie pushes towards the front. More O'Driscolls come around the corner amongst the ones remaining in the front yard. Kill them and keep moving up. Eventually the invaders give up and begin to run. Wipe out any stragglers.

Forward

Dutch gets a head count. No one was lost except Kieran. He orders Swanson to bury the body somewhere nearby but not too close. Charles will help him. Pearson and Grimshaw are told to start the cleanup. Obviously they need to move again. Dutch says they have great opportunities ahead and to meet him at the trolley station. He walks off. Arthur and John begin cleaning up bodies.

Arthur writes in his journal about Kieran saving his life but he could not save Kieran's. Sadie put in more fight than anyone. Perhaps that's the power of love.

Gold Tips

  • You can only use pistols or the Sawed-Off Shotgun.
  • There is no time objective but you'll want to take down the O'Driscolls quickly to save your health.
  • There is some cover available but not much compared to what the O'Driscolls find.
  • Use Quick Dead Eye bursts to conserve it. Aim for headshots.
  • If you want to increase your accuracy count aim for non-lethal parts such as arms or torso.
  • To get more chances at headshots, you can stall on the balcony for a bit until Dutch grabs Arthur and tells him to go downstairs. You can do the same before retreating to the house on the ground. Be warned that you'll be overpowered if you stay too long.
  • When you get to the shack on the water, keep an eye on the left side for O'Driscolls in a boat. There are two to kill. Take out the lead and then the one rowing. Note the game appears to not count the objective if the lead one gets in the water after killing the rower.
