If You Haven't Read Guinness Records Gamer Edition

The inevitable news draught drought is upon us. But do not fear, there's random news to gawk at.

If you haven't picked up your copy of the Guinness World Records 2011 Gamer Edition, Red Dead Redemption made it in and even has a 2-page-spread image for the Open World section.




From that section, Red Dead has two record mentions. The first is for the game itself: Best Selling Western-Themed Video Game

"Having Roped in an incredible E10 million ($15.6 million) in sales within just two days of its UK release on 21 May 2010, Red Dead Redemption went on to herd sales of more than 6.15 million units worldwide by October 2010."

The second mention is for the Dutch Gamers we mentioned breaking the record for Longest Videogame Marathon at 50 hours of playing Red Dead Redemption. One of the players, Renzo Bos, also holds the record for Fastest 100% Single-Player Completion of Red Dead Redemption at 41 hours 10 minutes 50 seconds which he completed during the marathon.
