The Course of True Love - III

Having delivered Beau's gifts, Arthur returns to him with Penelope's letter. Beau isn't her only passion.

Rewards: $30

Changing times

Beau is tending to a horse in the stables. Arthur asks for his money and gives Beau the letter from Penelope. Glossing over some family marital issues, Penelope is taking part in a women's suffrage protest. Beau is afraid of what will happen to her given the politics of the area. She might be killed. Arthur is asked to help and once again Beau will pay.

Mount your horse and follow Beau. Up the hill they find a group of protesters. Penelope will not back down and wants Arthur to drive the wagon. The leader, Olive Calhoon, likes the idea of a man in the protest. She tells Arthur they'll be the sheep and the people shouting are the wolves. Back in control, drive to the bank. The women begin to sing.

War of words

Arriving in Rhodes, the hecklers are shouting almost as loud as the singing. When the wagon stops at the bank Calhoon and the women dismount. On the steps of the bank she delivers a moving speech up against a heckler. As they go at it Beau is approached by his cousins. They try to threaten him but Arthur intervenes. Get on your horse and follow Beau. They'll go to an old battlefield to get away.

During the ride Beau mentions Catherine Braithwaite has a daughter that hasn't been seen in years. The story about gold is made up. Arthur questions if the Gray family actually has money. Beau thinks so but he's left out of business discussions. He gives Arthur the payment and rides off.

Gold Tips

  • Simply put: Do not waste any time during the mission. Quickly follow Beau, drive the wagon, and follow Beau again. Easy gold.
