Dutch and some of his top men are going to a party at the house of the St. Denis mayor as guests of Angelo Bronte. Hopefully they can find leads on big scores to get them to freedom.

Arthur talks to Hosea as Dutch comes from the house. They have a ball to get to. Time to get ready and go. Later Dutch, Arthur, Hosea, and Bill are having a good time in a stagecoach. They are going to a party for a known mobster that's hosted by the mayor of the city. They'll definitely find some good leads here. Arriving at the front gate, the doorman says weapons are not allowed after last year's incident and checks their guns. Another gentleman named Luca will escort them to Angelo Bronte.

Follow the escort. The men admire the interior. Dutch tells Hosea and Bill to join the party. Dutch and Arthur will see Angelo. Continue to follow Luca up the stairs. On the rear balcony Angelo welcomes them. Dutch asks if all these wealthy people below are his friends. Angelo says they fear him including the mayor named Henri Lemieux who is pointed out.

Other people of interest include Alberto Fussar who owns a sugar plantation in the islands. Hobart Crawley was a Major for the Confederates in the war. A few Natives speak with the mayor and hand him a letter. Angelo has no sympathy for them. Hector Fellowes is a newspaper owner who Angelo may have Dutch kill one day. Dutch informs him they are not hitmen. Throughout Angelo's rant, Dutch appears to get annoyed with him.

Angelo tells them to go enjoy the party but wonders what they have planned. Dutch says they need money. Angelo suggests the trolley station. There is plenty of cash in there during the day. They'll keep it in mind. Follow the escort Luca who closes a door and then heads downstairs. Follow Dutch out to the party. He tells Arthur to find the mayor. Do not steal anything except information. Hosea will find a place to rob. Bill will make friends. Dutch will try to find out if Cornwall or the Pinkertons know they are here.

Taste of the high life

Go down and mingle with guests in the courtyard. You will be offered champagne if you want to take a glass. Ahead of the righthand stairs is a champagne table. There is a group of ladies next to it that look thirsty. You can offer them some champagne if you wish. On the opposite side of courtyard near a tent is a table with snacks. A man eating nuts begin to choke. Arthur can assist him if allowed. If you help, the man is named Algernon Wasp. He'll offer Arthur his card if you want to take it. You may come across Bill and Hosea having discussions with other guests in this area.

Back to the middle, a woman is in front of the band wearing a large feathered hat. Why not give her a compliment? She got it from Mr. Wasp but do not tell anyone. Walking towards the fountain you'll come across two men on the right discussing theater shows. Join the chat and Arthur will be offered free tickets to a show. No harm taking them.

You can find Mayor Lemieux in discussions at the fountain. Join the circle around him. One of the men - Ferdinand - is drunk and harasses Lemieux. Arthur grabs him. Take the drunk away towards the back of the party. After pushing him along return to the mayor. Lemieux thanks Arthur and introduces himself. He says the house is not actually his and the city is in debt, but that doesn't stop them from putting on a good show. Lemieux introduces Arthur to Evelyn Miller who is a writer Arthur recognizes.

Fireworks begin to light up the sky and the crowd watches. A servant pulls Lemieux aside and says Mr. Cornwall was yelling in the telephone. Lemieux will come in after the fireworks and sign some papers. Dutch grabs Arthur and tells him to find out what Cornwall's business is. Follow the servant. Do not get too close or else you'll be spotted. He speaks with a lawman who says they are keeping an eye on things. The servant knows Angelo likes to snoop around. Continue to follow him into the house. Luca tells him the phone keeps ringing. In the rear a servant girl is found in the wrong area and gets hit. The servant goes up the stairs and into the room Luca had closed the door of.

Inside the room the servant puts a ledger in a desk and locks it before walking away to another room. Retrieve the ledger from the desk. Arthur will force the drawer open. Papers in the ledger is from Cornwall and marked confidential. Arthur puts the letter away. You may also find a letter on the desk from the mayor to Angelo asking for funds. Return to Dutch. He tells Dutch he may have something. Bill returns empty handed with Hosea. Hosea thinks they are done and the group leaves.

Return to normal

Follow Dutch who asks Hosea what he found. Hosea has information about a big bank in the city. Dutch mentions the trolley station and a high-stakes poker game. The men get their guns back at the gate and leave in their coach driven by Lenny. The ride is less pleasant but not in bad spirits. Bill obviously didn't have a good time. Arthur hands Dutch the papers. He has an idea but will think about it.

The next day Dutch wakes Arthur in his room. Hosea and Abigail are testing distractions for the bank. Dutch spoke with Evelyn Miller who is lobbying the Mayor Lemieux for the Natives. Dutch and the gang may be able to help them. Trelawny is scouting the poker game on the riverboat. Arthur will assist but needs to go to the tailor. Dutch will look into the trolley station. One big score and they are out. Dutch walks away.

Gold Tips

  • There is no time objective so take it easy throughout.
  • Find the 4 guests of interest. The thirsty ladies on the east side by the stairs, Mr. Wasp on the west side at the snack table, the woman with the feather hat at the band, and the men with tickets between the previous and the fountain.
  • Do not get spotted by the servant. If you follow him towards the dining room be sure to move towards the front door to avoid him when he walks out. Also stay clear of the doorway when he yells at the girl.
