This Month in Red Dead Online: January 6, 2026

Red Dead Online is kicking off a new Bounty Hunter–focused event starting January 6, offering boosted payouts, increased experience, and a range of unlockable rewards across missions, Free Roam Events, and PvP playlists.

The limited-time event runs through February 2 and centres on all aspects of the Bounty Hunter role, from standard contracts to Legendary and Infamous targets.

Increased Payouts and Experience

Players taking on bounty work during the event will see significant bonuses applied depending on the mission type.

• Regular Bounty Missions award 3× RDO$, Role XP, and XP
• Legendary and Infamous Bounties pay out 2× RDO$, Gold, and XP
• Manhunt and Day of Reckoning Free Roam Events grant 3× RDO$ and XP
• Featured Series playlists also offer 3× RDO$ and XP

Event-Long Unlockable Rewards

Several cosmetic items can be earned throughout the event period by completing specific activities:

• Prestigious Bounty Hunters ranked 25 or higher receive the white Clairborn Coat from Outlaw Pass 1 by logging in
• Taking part in either Manhunt or Day of Reckoning unlocks the Gable Charm from Outlaw Pass 4
• Completing a Legendary Bounty rewards the Harshaw Gauntlets from Outlaw Pass 2
• Winning a match in the Featured Series grants the Black Morales Vest

Weekly Challenges and Login Rewards

Additional rewards rotate weekly, encouraging players to return throughout the event:

• January 6 – January 12: Complete three Bounty Missions to earn a reward for the San Luis Shore Treasure Map
• January 13 – January 19: Complete all Bounty Hunter Daily Challenges to receive a 40% discount on an Established or Distinguished Bounty Hunter Role item
• January 20 – January 26: Complete three Bounty Missions to unlock a 50% discount on a weapon
• January 27 – February 2: Players rank 50 or higher receive the beige Torranca Coat for logging in

Featured Series Rotation

The Featured Series playlist changes weekly during the event:

• January 6 – 12: Hardcore Pro Series
• January 13 – 19: Shootout Series
• January 20 – 26: Hardcore Last Stand
• January 27 – February 2: Contrast Series
