No more nice girl

An upset Luisa tells John that Captain De Santa is massacring people at Sepulcro. She wants him and his soldiers killed. She says to hurry and that her men will show Marston the way. Maybe De Santa knows where Escuella is.

Grave filler

Hop on your horse and follow Luisa's men to the graveyard in Sepulcro. They discuss the revolution and compliment John's explosive skills from earlier. Eventually they arrive at the bottom of the hill where a graveyard is. In a cutscene John tells the rebels to hold off shooting until he makes a move and keep De Santa alive. Up the hill, De Santa is shown standing over a scared man digging his own grave. De Santa ends up shooting him. John and friends hear the shot and run up the hill.

Enter the graveyard and you are met with six enemy soldiers scattered in cover. You'll see De Santa run off at the far end. Kill the enemies as you run through after him. There are two on each side near the middle when you enter. One runs across for an easy first pick. The last two are at the end on either side.

When they are all dead chase after De Santa. If he gets far whistle for your horse. Lasso and hogtie him before bringing him back to the rebels. You can also drag him behind your horse. Either way he won't be very happy. Place him right outside the eastern entrance of the graveyard where the rebels are. You'll need to hogtie him to trigger the cutscene.

Forget waterboarding

John is shown beating the crap out of De Santa. Marston wants to know where Javier Escuella is. Eventually De Santa cracks and tells him Escuella is at Casa Madrugada. De Santa wants John to kill him or let him go.

You are left to decide De Santa's fate. Either shoot him dead or walk away to let the rebels do it. No matter the decision, grab your horse and head out to Casa Madrugada. When you arrive inside the wall it is quiet at first but enemies will appear from the first and second floor doorways in front of you - three up and three down. They'll take cover behind columns or railings. Kill them as three more appear from the back-left. They'll find cover too. Wipe them all out.

With all the enemy soldiers dead, John walks around. He finds a woman and asks where Escuella is. She says he hasn't been around in months plus she calls John stupid for believing De Santa.

Gold Tips

  • Quickly get on your horse and sprint to Sepulcro. You do not need to wait for the rebels.
  • Sprint into the graveyard and shoot De Santa's leg when he runs out.
  • Kill the other enemies and run after De Santa. The last two have horrible aim. You do not need to kill them all and the rebels will assist you.
  • Lasso and hogtie him. It's possible to hogtie De Santa right outside the walls. If on horseback, drag him to save time.
  • Bring De Santa back to the graveyard if necessary.
  • Shoot De Santa or run to your horse and sprint to Casa Madrugada. Cut across the tracks (red dotted line) to save time.
  • An easy way to clear the building uses 3 sticks of dynamite. Toss one to the upstairs, downstairs, and the third into the back-left. Shoot any enemies you need to.
