#20 GameStop Toyota News, Notes & Paint Scheme:

  • GameStop is the primary sponsor of the #20 for the O’Reilly 300 at Texas Motor Speedway. The Texas race is particularly important for Logano and the #20 team, as GameStop is headquartered in Grapevine, Texas, just a short drive from the racetrack. GameStop is the world’s largest video game and software entertainment retailer and has been a supporter of Logano and the #20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota since the 2008 season.
  • While in town for TMS weekend, Logano will be visiting the corporate headquarters of GameStop on Thursday, April 15 for a NASCAR Extravaganza involving meet and greets and activities for the more than 1.800 employees who work at that facility.
  • Red Dead Redemption will fittingly adorn the #20 GameStop Toyota in Texas just North of Fort Worth “where the West” is said to begin. Red Dead Redemption is an epic battle for survival in a beautiful western world as one man struggles to bury his past. Developed by Rockstar San Diego, Red Dead Redemption is coming for Xbox 360® and PlayStation® 3 computer entertainment system on May 18 in North America and on May 21 in Europe.
  • Despite running only five of the six Nationwide Series events thus far in 2010, Logano sits seventh in the point standings on the strength of four top-10 finishes and two pole awards. With the 15 laps he led in Phoenix, Logano has now led more laps this season in the NASCAR Nationwide Series than any other driver, pacing the field 288 times (28.9% of the total laps run thus far this season). The #20 Joe Gibbs Racing team is sixth in the owner’s point standings, just 71 points out of the top-spot.
  • Logano has made three-career starts at Texas Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. His best start (8th) and finish (4th) came in his first-career race at the track in 2008. Last season, Logano finished 12th (spring race) and 24th (fall race) at the 1.5-mile track. Joe Gibbs Racing has won the last four Nationwide Series events at Texas, all by teammate Kyle Busch.

Logano Talks:
"This race is really important to me every year because we are right in the backyard of our primary sponsor GameStop. They have been an absolutely awesome company to work with and have been with me since I started racing in the Nationwide Series with Joe Gibbs Racing. So I would love to repay them for all of their efforts with this #20 team by getting them to Victory Lane this weekend. They always have a lot of employees at the track and that would be one heck of a celebration, I can tell you that."

“I think it is great that we have Red Dead Redemption on the car this week. It couldn’t have come at any better track. I’ve seen a couple of trailers for Red Dead, and unlike a lot of the modern-day games set in contemporary times or in the future, this games is a throw-back to what the old West and Texas must have resembled. There are cowboys, horses, six shooters, salons and plenty of old western gunfights. If that doesn’t scream Texas, I don’t know what does."

“Texas has always been one of my toughest tracks. I’ve really struggled with this place, even though I’ve really excelled at other 1.5-mile tracks. I ran the best I have here the first time I saw the place back in 2008. But I have a feeling this time around, it will be different. We’ve really made some strides with our program and we’ve learned a lot from the success that Kyle (Busch) has had over here. So I think come Saturday, we’ll be a car to contend with."
