Take-Two Interactive, which owns Rockstar Games, has posted their Results for the Three and Twelve Months Ended October 31, 2010. We'll cut through all the $$$ and wordsy stuff and get to the point. Basically Take-Two is making about $700 million more than a year ago (always a good thing) and they hope to keep bringing us top-of-the-line games. Red Dead Redemption was of course a good mention of things this past year.

From the Management Comments section:
(Ben Feder, CEO of Take-Two)
... We have achieved our goal of profitability in a year without a new release of Grand Theft Auto. Our better-than-expected revenue growth and margin expansion were driven by strong demand for our diverse portfolio of games, including the hit new titles Red Dead Redemption and NBA 2K11, as well as strong sales of catalog titles and digitally delivered content. ...

(Strauss Zelnick, Chairman of Take-Two)
... We plan to build on the talents of our world-class creative team to deliver an increasingly diverse portfolio of high-quality titles. We will also pursue opportunities to enter newer areas of the interactive entertainment business, such as digitally delivered content and the expanding Asian and Latin American markets. ...

So Take-Two is happy they don't have to rely on Grand Theft Auto to make ends meet and downloadable content is going to expand too. Now farther down is another good note:

(Product Highlights)
  • Rockstar Games released several downloadable content packs for Red Dead Redemption, which has sold-in nearly 8 million units worldwide since launching in May.
...

That's a lot of games but not as good as Grand Theft Auto IV had done. L.A. Noire is still set for Spring 2011 release and the other upcoming Rockstar titles (Max Payne 3, Agent) aren't listed at all. Read it all for yourself here and join the discussions in our Red Dead Redemption forums!
