There are 48 items you can acquire in Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare by looting undead animals, plants and zombies. Find out where to find each and every one of them.

Unlike in the main game of Red Dead Redemption, Undead Nightmare doesn't have much of a use for the items you'll acquire when looting corpses. A select few plants are required for story mission progress and can be used to craft ammo, however almost all of the undead animal parts are not really used in the game. After acquiring the Blunderbuss you'll be able to loot dead zombies and collect their body parts which can be used to craft Blunderbuss ammo, however this only uses zombie body parts, animal parts aren't used for ammo crafting.

There are no shops in RDR: Undead Nightmare so once you've collected the items, there's no way to get rid of them other than to use certain ones in crafting.

You can occasionally meet a doctor in a random encounter (he's surrounded by crates and will be firing a gatling gun). Sometimes he'll ask you to bring him specific items, however outside of this task, there's no use for anything you acquire from undead animals.

Undead Animal Parts in Undead Nightmare

For most of the undead animals, the items you'll acquire when looting them are random. You may need to loot multiple animals before you acquire all of the different parts.

Chupacabra Claws

The claws from this rare animal are a unique treasure.

Zombie Parts in Undead Nightmare

Zombie parts can only be collected once you've acquired the Blunderbuss from Nigel West Dickens. From that point on, looting zombies may award any of the below items. When crafting Blunderbuss ammo you will randomly use any of the below items from your inventory. Looting zombies who are wearing an ammo belt will usually award ammo instead of body parts.

Be aware, if you kill zombies with a headshot, you won't be able to loot any of the head-based items (ears, eyes or tongues). In this instance, you'll always receive ribs from the corpse.
