Safehouses
Locations and details of all safehouses in Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare.
There are 25 safehouses which can be acquired, either through the story or unlocked after saving a town. None of them are technically required for 100% completion, however rescuing the towns is necessary, so they're an added bonus.
Safehouse Features
All safehouses feature:
- Outside will be a hitching post where the player can save their horse.
- Inside, the player will find a bed which can be used to save the game. Doing so will automatically advance time by 6 hours.
- It's also possible to change outfits at the bed by pressing Square.
- Pressing Circle at the bed allows the player to fast travel to any of the other saved towns around the map.

West Elizabeth Safehouses
There are 5 safehouses to acquire in West Elizabeth. One is unlocked by default, the others are unlocked by saving the towns.
Beecher's Hope
Located on the upper level of the barn in Beecher's Hope.
HOW TO OBTAIN:
- Automatically unlocked after the first story mission "Love in the Time of Plague".
SPECIAL FEATURES:
- Permanent safe zone. Cannot be overrun by zombies.
Blackwater
Located on the top floor of the Blackwater Hotel.
HOW TO OBTAIN:
- Unlocked after saving the town of Blackwater, which will be done during the second story mission "Curious Tales from Blackwater".
New Austin
There are 10 safehouses to acquire across the state of New Austin. Two of them are awarded through story progress, the rest are unlocked by saving the towns.
The Old Bacchus Place
Located inside the cabin next to the water.
HOW TO OBTAIN:
- Automatically unlocked after starting the story mission "Get Back in That Hole, Partner".
SPECIAL FEATURES:
- Permanent safe zone. Cannot be overrun by zombies.
Fort Mercer
A bedroom on the top floor of the fort.
HOW TO OBTAIN:
- Automatically unlocked after starting the story mission "A Cure for Most of What Ails You".
SPECIAL FEATURES:
- Permanent safe zone. Cannot be overrun by zombies.
- Missing Persons can be started from and must be returned to this location.
Nuevo Paraiso Safehouses
There are 10 safehouses to acquire in Nuevo Paraiso. Two of them are unlocked automatically, the remaining 8 are unlocked by saving the towns.
Casa Madrugada
A room located on the bottom floor of the main brothel building in Casa Madrugada.
HOW TO OBTAIN:
- Automatically unlocked after gaining access to Nuevo Paraiso following the story mission "American Imperialism".
SPECIAL FEATURES:
- Permanent safe zone. Cannot be overrun by zombies.
El Presidio
A large barracks inside the main building above the entrance gate to El Presidio.
HOW TO OBTAIN:
- Automatically unlocked after gaining access to Nuevo Paraiso following the story mission "American Imperialism".
SPECIAL FEATURES:
- Permanent safe zone. Cannot be overrun by zombies.
- Missing Persons can be started from and must be returned to this location.
