Characters

The American frontier and its promise of freedom attracted people of all kinds: entrepreneurs and outlaws, priests and prostitutes, vagabonds and gentlemen. Some made a home for themselves on the land, some found wealth at the end of the mineshaft, and others died penniless and friendless, or at the end of a gun.

These are some of the unique characters you're likely to meet in the Western Frontier of Red Dead Redemption. Some are good, some are bad. Take a look at who's friend and who's foe.

Meet the Marstons

Click for fullsize	John Marston Red Dead Redemption's main protagonist. Marston is a retired criminal trying to find Bill Williamson, a former cohort in crime. However, this isn't completely voluntary. Federal agents are threatening him and his family if Marston doesn't cooperate and help clean up the West. Voiced by Rob Wiethoff
	Abigail Marston Wife of John who also left a troubled past to start anew. Voiced by Sophia Marzocchi
	John "Jack" Marston Jr. John's little boy, but not for long. Raised with books and values being shown the wild frontier. Voiced by Josh Blaylock

	Abraham Reyes Popular Mexican rebel and political leader by association. Bit of an ego problem too. Voiced by Josh Segarra
	Alwyn "Welsh" Lloyd Small-time criminal with anger issues and a sing-song voice. Voiced by Paul Mullan
	Andreas Muller A German silver prospector that means business and has a short temper. Usually found at the poker table. Voiced by Thomad Mikusz
	Archer Fordham A government agent with a keen eye for detail. One of those threatening Marston to help clean up crime. Voiced by David Wilson Barnes
	Bill Williamson John's old friend and gangmate. Wanted by all. Voiced by Steve J. Palmer
	Bonnie MacFarlane A headstrong woman working in a man's world. Bonnie is tough on the outside but inside she has soft spots for her family and their ranch. Voiced by Kimberly Irion
	Colonel Agustin Allende The sadistic military leader of the Mexican province of Nuevo Paraiso. Voiced by Gary Carlos Cervantes
	Dutch van der Linde Williamson is your ex-partner in crime. Dutch is your ex-boss. You'll interact with him later... Voiced by Benjamin Byron Davis
	Edgar Ross Second of the two government agents making sure Marston is helping. He'll do anything to bring order and governance to the untamed West. Voiced by Jim Bentley
	Eli One of Marshal Johnson's deputies. This one is none too bright but has heart. Voiced by Frank Noon
	Harold MacDougal Harold is a professor of anthropology, forcefully sent from Yale on a vacation from work. Voiced by Joe Ochman
	Irish Irish is the town drunk. Usually found stumbling around and getting into trouble with sober townsfolk while attempting to talk his way out. Voiced by Kharrison Sweeney
	Javier Escuella Another former gangmate of Marston. Javier resides in his homeland of Mexico. Voiced by Antonio Jaramillo
	Jonah Another of Marshal Johnson's deputies with an attitude and stories longer than his Pinocchio nose. Voiced by Brad Carter
	Landon Ricketts A famous gunslinger of the West, now hiding out from the world he once ruled in his younger years. Voiced by Ross Hagen
	Luisa Fortuna A 19-year old teacher from Mexico who is also very involved in the revolution. She shows courage and strength rivaling any man. Voiced by Francesca Galeas
	Marshal Leigh Johnson Marshal Johnson has served the people of Armadillo for years and keeps them safe with his two deputies. He is of good help to John Marston in his search for Bill Williamson. Voiced by Anthony De Longis
	Moses Forth Who needs enemies when you have friends like Moses? Don't plan on a long term relationship with this guy. Voiced by John Bella
	Nastas Native American unsure about life on a reservation. He longs for the open West the way it used to be. Voiced by Banjamin Byron Davis
	Nigel West Dickens Your run-of-the-mill traveling salesman with a wagon full of miracle cure-all medicines. He could convince you to eat your shoes! Voiced by Don Creech
	Quique Montemayor Mexican waiter with a colorful personality. He always respects a man in uniform. Voiced by
	Seth Briars The gold rush hit many people. Seth took quite a blow to the head. He wants nothing but wealth and fortune. Voiced by Kevin Glikmann
	Shaky Hoodlum that fails to communicate well. A stick-up can go either way with this guy. Voiced by Joshua Bass
	Uncle Old-timer who did his time at the ranch and would rather hit the bottle than work anymore. Voiced by Spider Madison
	Vincente de Santa Captain in the Mexican Army working under Allende. He's brutal to civilians and possibly "into" Quique... Voiced by Hector Luis Bustamante
	Walton Lowe Gang leader of an army of individuals with altered senses of right and wrong. Voiced by PJ Sosko

Strangers

	Abner Forsyth Booze is wrecking the country and he'll see to it that prohibition takes hold as long as he's alive. Voiced by Bill Raymond
	Andrew McAllister Looking to set up a profitable ranch, he uses a trusty dowsing stick to point the way towards water. Voiced by Jim Conroy
	Billy West A nice old man who loves his lady and wants to bring her some flowers. Voiced by John Gabriel
	Charles Kinnear Inventor who makes up what he lacks in science. Expect some crazy ideas from this one. Voiced by Patch Darragh
	Clara LaGuerta Outcast of Blackwater, she is looking for support from her former boss to support her unborn child. Voiced by Ashley Albert
	D.S. MacKenna His feet are in the dust but his head is in the clouds. He sees Hollywood in New Austin and will try anything to make it happen and become rich. Voiced by Jay O. Sanders
	Eva Cortes Fallen woman trying to get back on her feet in chaotic times. Voiced by Elisa Rodriguez
	Jeb Blankenship He's going crazy after his love was taken from him. Voiced by Bryan Shany
	Jenny A young, faithful woman who's pure at heart and trying to make sense of the senseless West. Voiced by Kate Simses
	Jimmy Saint A humored city boy from the East Coast. Jimmy wants to capture the spirit of the West for a New York magazine. Voiced by Paul De Boy
	Randall Forrester A hillbilly and not much more. He could eat a whole human bear without any help. Voiced by Raymond McAnally
	Sam Odessa A more down-to-earth guy. He is searching for meaning in life and also which way to California. Voiced by Holter Graham
	Zhou A Chinese slaughterhouse worker who is quite the romantic type. Unfortunately he is stuck as a slave without your help. Voiced by Grant Chang
