Red Dead Redemption Coming to Mobile Devices and Current Generation Consoles on December 2
Rockstar Games have just announced that Red Dead Redemption is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and Mobile devices following it's re-release on PS4, Switch and PC last year.
On their newswire and via Social Media, Rockstar Games confirmed news that had broken earlier in the day when details of the game being rated for these platforms by the ESRB was made public.
They confirmed the re-released Red Dead Redemption - including the Undead Nightmare story expansion - would be coming to all current generation consoles, as well as Mobile devices via iOS and Android. If you have a Netflix subscription, you'll be able to download the mobile versions for free as part of your plan, the same as the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition.
Improvements and Enhancements
On PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the re-release brings smooth 60 frames per second gameplay, enhanced image quality, HDC suport, and resolutions of up to 4K.
On Nintendo Switch 2 you'll gain support for DLSS, HDR, mouse controls, and the same fluid 60 frames per second gameplay at high resolution.
The Mobile versions will include mobile-friendly touch screen controls - although you'll still be able to connect a bluetooth controller which will make the game much easier to play.
Free Upgrade For Existing Owners
If you already purchased last years re-release for PS4 or Nintendo Switch - or the digital backward compatible version on Xbox One - the upcoming release will come as a free upgrade so you won't need to buy it again. In addition, you'll be able to carry over your game progress by importing your save data from the earlier release.
These new versions are created in collaboration with Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games and will be available in the GTA+ Games Library and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on December 2nd.
Guides, Maps and Cheats
Our website was first launched in 2010 to cover Red Dead Redemption when it originally launched on PS3 and Xbox 360, so we've already got a wide selection of story mission walkthroughs, maps for treasures, plants and hunting hotspots to guide you through 100% completion for both Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare, but we'll be hard at work updating those guides with new screenshots and info after release on PS5.
Check out a selection of our Red Dead Redemption guides below...
We've also covered everything in Undead Nightmare too.
