Undead Nightmare - Side Objective GuideOutfits
There are 4 new outfits to unlock in Undead Nightmare. Find out how and where to find them.
The following are outfits found in Undead Nightmare. Many of these outfits are from the main Red Dead Redemption game. Five are available right away and four are unlocked during Undead Nightmare. The Legend of the Apocalypse and Undead Hunter outfits require you to complete a number of tasks to unlock.

Following the final missions A Civilized Man / On a Pale Horse, you're only able to equip the Undead Cowboy Outfit, Legend of the Undead Outfit, and Army of the Undead Outfit.
Story Outfits
Throughout the main story (until you beat A Civilized Man / On a Pale Horse) in Undead Nightmare you'll be able to wear the following outfits.
Cowboy Outfit
HOW TO OBTAIN:
- Given at the beginning of the game.
BENEFITS:
- None.
Mexican Poncho
HOW TO OBTAIN:
- Given at the beginning of the game.
BENEFITS:
- None.
Duster Coat
HOW TO OBTAIN:
- Given at the beginning of the game.
BENEFITS:
- None.
Rancher Clothing
HOW TO OBTAIN:
- Given at the beginning of the game.
BENEFITS:
- None.
Union Suit
HOW TO OBTAIN:
- Given at the beginning of the game.
BENEFITS:
- None.
Undead Hunter
HOW TO OBTAIN:
Complete the following requirements to unlock the suit:
- Complete the "Birth of the Conservation Movement" Survivor Mission.
- Complete the "Filth and Other Entertainment" Survivor Mission.
- Complete the "Missing Souls" Survivor Mission.
- Bring one "Missing Person" to El Presidio alive.
- Find and break the mythical unicorn. It is located northwest of Torquemada.
- You have to first find and kill the legendary Chupacabra and break the Four Horses of the Apocalypse.
BENEFITS:
- You will unlock a "Holy Relic" that appears in your inventory. Once a day, you can take this and replenish your ammunition and receive consumable items.
Legend of the Apocalypse
HOW TO OBTAIN:
Complete the following requirements to unlock the suit:
- Complete all four Undead Challenges. There are 5 levels to each challenge.
BENEFITS:
- This outfit increases the duration of phosphorus bullets.
Post-Game Outfits
After completing the story in Undead Nightmare, John Marston is only able to wear the following outfits.
Undead Cowboy Outfit
HOW TO OBTAIN:
- Unlocked at the end of the game after completing On a Pale Horse
BENEFITS:
- Allows you walk amongst the dead, until you get too close to the zombies.
Legend of the Undead
HOW TO OBTAIN:
Complete the above requirements for Legend of the Apocalypse and also complete the final story mission On a Pale Horse.
BENEFITS:
- This outfit increases the duration of phosphorus bullets.
