Complete 100% Walkthrough For Undead Nightmare

Continuing our updates to Red Dead Redemption after it's re-release on PS5, I've gone through and improved all of our guides for Undead Nightmare, adding a couple of new ones along the way.

During this process, I captured and uploaded over 1,000 screenshots from the PS5 version of the game and they're blended into all of the content throughout our guides, hopefully giving you useful visuals to go along with our text walkthroughs.

100% Completion

First of all, we've got a 100% Checklist which allows you to check off your objectives as you edge closer to full completion. Each section contains links to our detailed guides and maps to make it as easy as possible for you to find the advice you need. You don't even need an account to use it, everything you check off is saved in your web browser so you can come back later and keep it updated.

Missions

Our story mission guides have been improved since they were initially published in 2013. The story missions in Undead Nightmare are generally quite long and split into multiple parts so each one features a good 50 or so screenshots which will certainly help refresh your memory if you haven't played the game for awhile.

The Survivor side-missions have also been updated with a selection of screenshots. Unlike the base RDR game, the side-missions missions are necessary to progress the story, so you'll need to play through all of them.

Challenges & Collectibles

Our Undead Challenges guide is one of our most popular, and it has been fully rewritten with new tips and advice, including helpful screenshots and maps. Check it out for instructions on how to complete all 5 levels of the Undead Hunter, Under Sharpshooter, Undead Treasure Hunter and Four Horses of the Apocalypse challenges so you can unlock the Legend of the Apocalypse / Legend of the Undead outfit. We'll also help you track down the elusive Cupacapbra and mythical Unicorn.

We've also included the Tomahawk and Explosive Rifle challenges. They're optional and not required for 100%, but they're now available to everyone by default and add a bit of extra fun to the game.

You'll only need to unlock one outfit on your quest towards 100% completion, but we've got full details and screenshots of all 8 of the ones you'll find, including the 3 post-game variations in our Outfits guide.

One of the major side objectives in Undead Nightmare requires you to save all of the towns which are overrun with undead. The game does a good job at keeping you informed about their status and shows them on the in-game map, but for full details, such as how many circles you need to fill, which ammo you need to give to survivors and your possible rewards, check out our freshly updated guide.

Another gameplay feature which weighs quite heavily towards 100% completion involves saving Missing Persons. There are 15 to rescue, and again, while the game makes it pretty straight forward to track them down, our guide offers some additional tips.

Each time you save a town from the undead you'll unlock a safehouse. A walkthrough isn't really necessary as they're all displayed on the in-game map, but if you want to quickly browse all 25 of the possible save locations, check out our new Safehouses guide.

Loot & Items

Another new batch of guides relates to the items you can find or otherwise acquire in the game.

A consumables guide lists all of the items you can use to refill and boost your stats.

The Kit Items guide explains all of the important items you'll pick up along the way, including one which is only available during a very specific task.

There's no buying and selling in Undead Nightmare, but you can still collect 48 different items from plants, zombie corpses and undead animals. Some of them are extremely rare, but we've broken down how you can collect everything should you wish to make it an unofficial side objective. The only thing you may struggle with is collecting the 4 different Chupacabra parts as you'll only ever encounter it once in the game.

I also created a guide which explains how to unlock all 31 of the weapons in the game. Some of which you'll never uncover unless you know exactly where to look. None of the weapons are required directly towards 100% completion, although you will need to gain access to a sniper rifle for one of the Undead Challenges.
