Drive Seth to a secluded location while he checks some deceased friends for his treasure map. Only problem is that other people want the map too.

Same Seth, different day

Once again John finds Seth digging around at Coot's Chapel. This time he has a wagon and is loading up some bodies. John asks him if he's ready to help but Seth says not yet. He then rambles on about Moses being a liar or not and comes to the conclusion that a man named Aiden O'Leary was the issue. He was supposed to bury a bunch of bodies but died of the flu. Seth now has those unburied bodies loaded up in the wagon. His plan is to search them for his last bit of map. Marston is tasked with driving the wagon to a secluded spot. They aren't the only ones with interest in the bodies.

Long ride

Take control of the wagon and start driving along the yellow path shown. The marker of the secluded spot is way out by the Gaptooth Breach mine. Seth will tell you to keep left to stay out of Armadillo, which the yellow path shows anyway. He'll begin searching the corpses during the ride while talking to them gently - a process John finds sickening. Noticeably, a train will be leaving Armadillo. You shouldn't need to worry about it though.


Just outside of Armadillo at Two Crows a group of three enemy bandits on horseback will appear as Seth yells about them. One of them will be armed with fire bottles. Take them all out and keep driving along the path as Seth continues to search bodies. He'll find some elixir (medicine) which is given to you.

Once you cross the tracks (watch for the train if necessary) and approach the old shack on the left, a group of four enemy bandits will appear. Again one is armed with fire bottles. Kill them and continue on your way. Seth will find another elixir bottle for you.

The last group of enemy bandits will appear right before the road splits near the railroad wye (triangle). It is another group of four with one using fire bottles. Kill them as Seth finds his map and the yellow path changes. A new marker will be set at Tumbleweed where Seth was going anyway. Head up the hill and make your way to the entrance of Tumbleweed. Any bandits left will stop chasing you near the bridge.

Once you arrive, Seth will joyfully exclaim that he's going to be rich. John reminds him of his duty at Fort Mercer. Seth wants to get his treasure first.

Gold Tips

• Have full Dead-Eye before starting this mission. Replays have it automatically.
• Get on the wagon quickly and start moving out.
• Best way to drive a wagon is to tap sprint every 3 gallops and stay on the roads. Don't tire out the horses. While you aim the horses will automatically follow the yellow path.
• For Dead-Eye Level 2, make sure at least one mark is on the enemy's head and use Dead-Eye bursts. You may be better off not using Dead-Eye at all since it picks marks automatically.
• If you miss a shot, kill both horses pulling the wagon to restart from a checkpoint.
