Rewards: +$50, +400 Fame

Fearless leader

Marston walks in on Colonel Allende yelling at Captain de Santa. John is introduced to the leader and after a little bit of threatening conversation he finds out that Escuella is from this providence and Allende knows him well. Allende goes on a small rant about the rebels and asks if John will do him a favor while he finds Escuella and Williamson. John fails to negotiate getting his side first and agrees to help de Santa's men who are fighting at Tesoro Azul. John and de Santa ride off.

Race you there!

Mount your horse and follow de Santa. They'll discuss Allende among other things. Eventually de Santa will comment that you are late and challenges you to a race. Follow the route to Tesoro Azul and try to beat de Santa. You do not need to win.

When you reach the marker a cutscene will show Captain de Santa and Captain Espinoza having a quick chat that ends with de Santa saying he hopes John doesn't fight like a girl (referring to Espinoza). The army prepares themselves outside the gate.

Taking Tesoro

Enter the gates and all will seem quiet. When you near the crates ahead, numerous enemies will appear on your radar/mini-map and bullets will begin to fly. There are rebels all over the far end. How you clear the town is up to you. I like to walk through the middle of the road out in the open since many of the enemy rebels are somewhat easy to deal with and it also gives the best position to aim at all of them.

The nearest enemy is hiding behind the crates in front of you. Kill him when he peeks out. Another will run across the street from the right and try to take cover on the left. Kill him too. Two enemies will be on the right in the ruins next to the church and there is another enemy on the left, on the far side of the structure with the awning. Kill them all. The church has 2 enemies inside and one on the roof (you may need to back away from the building to get him). When you get in front of the church, a group of three enemies will exit the house on your left. Kill them as they exit. Next another group of three will exit the last house on the left and one will appear on the roof. At the same time two enemies will exit the house on the right past the church. Kill them all as they try to seek cover.

When they are all dead, meet de Santa in the center of town. A cutscene shows de Santa with some captured women and he wants John to make sure the rebels will not have this home to come back to. He says to grab fire bottles in order to burn down some of the houses. John does what he's told to keep his "good" relationship going.

The roof is on fire

Run over to the fire bottles to pick them up. Next throw them at the three houses indicated (the same buildings the groups of rebels ran out of previously). Instructions for throwing the bottles are presented if needed. You don't actually need to walk around to each house. You only need to hit them in some way.

The final cutscene will show a disgruntled Marston calling the soldiers pathetic while they ignore him and say to sample some of the new girls back at the villa. He is left standing in the middle of the burning town.

Gold Tips

  • Quickly mount your horse and sprint to Tesoro Azul as soon as possible. The race will automatically begin when you get away from de Santa.
  • Get inside the gate and take out all the enemies as quickly as possible. A Dead-Eye sweep makes it easy to kill the groups exiting the houses.
  • Sprint to the marker in the center of town.
  • Quickly grab the fire bottles. You can actually stay at the bottle supply and throw them at the three houses from there. Hitting the roof is fine.
