The Wronged Woman

Part 1

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have completed the mission “An Appointed Time” to unlock.
• It must be night (game time must be between 6:00pm and 7:00am).

LOCATION:

WALKTHROUGH:

Speak to a woman (Clara) praying in the Blackwater Chapel after 6 PM.

After a small rant about being a disgraced woman, it is revealed that she used to be a nanny for a family in Blackwater.

Clara says that she had a relationship with the father (Harold Thornton) and appears to have become pregnant from him.

The wife threw Clara out and Harold turned to drinking.

Clara would be very grateful to get even a little bit of money from Harold in order to put a roof over her baby's head.

You're told to "Find Harold in Blackwater and get money for Clara".

Part 2

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have completed "The Wronged Woman" Part 1.

LOCATION:

WALKTHROUGH:

Go down to the Blackwater Saloon to speak with Harold.

He is found inside, standing at the bar.

He explains he does not know of Clara - although he remembers a servant girl named Sarah who moved up North.

When questioned about his supposed secret relationship, he becomes defensive and wants to take it outside.

You're told to "Follow Harold to the dueling location in front of the saloon".

Part 3

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have completed "The Wronged Woman" Part 2.

LOCATION:

WALKTHROUGH:

Head outside the Blackwater Saloon and speak to Harold which will trigger a duel.

It's important to note that you must kill him in the duel. Don't waste time or effort trying to disarm him as he'll kill you. One or two headshots should be enough. Fill your meter higher than his and let the bullets fly. More dueling tips here.

If you want to skip the duel, you can kill him on-foot before you speak to him outside the Saloon however you'll miss out on some Fame which you usually get for winning the duel.

Either way, once he's dead you'll need to loot his body where you'll collect $200.

You're then told to "Return to Clara with the money".

Part 4

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have completed "The Wronged Woman" Part 3.

LOCATION:

WALKTHROUGH:

Head back to the chapel to meet Clara again.

She is grateful but very upset that Harold died.

She says he'll be buried in the family plot of the cemetery and that if she hurries she can attend the funeral.

Clara then walks off in tears.

...Leaving Marston looking bemused.

You're told to "Visit Harold's grave at Blackwater Cemetery in a few days". If you set up a camp or visit your safehouse and save the game then immediately reload your save, the next part should be available immediately.

Part 5

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have completed "The Wronged Woman" Part 4.
• Roughly 2 days must have passed in-game since completing the previous part. Saving and reloading your game can force the next part to immediately become available.

LOCATION:

WALKTHROUGH:

Two days later speak to a woman (Elizabeth Thornton) at Harold's grave.

She's quite upset about her husband's passing.

As far as she knows Harold's death was from him frequenting a gambling boat.

She goes on to say that whore Clara was laughing at the funeral but can't understand why. The world is a terrible place (more so because it appears Clara used you to kill an innocent man). Elizabeth walks off.

The Stranger side-mission is now complete.
